Who We Are
My Sustainable Canada is a national not-for-profit organization that serves as a policy advocate for sustainable consumption solutions. The My Sustainable Canada Team embodies decades of experience with specific expertise in conducting policy research, managing programs and promoting behaviour changes that collectively inform our understanding of the sustainable consumption challenges facing Canada.
What Our Mission Is
Our mission is to advance consumer and corporate citizenship in support of sustainable consumption.
We will endeavour to do this through research and collaboration with knowledgeable and committed individuals, academics, businesses, government and non-government representatives to innovate new policies, action plans, programs and tools.
Our Goals
My Sustainable Canada's mandate is to advance knowledge and cooperation on sustainable consumption and to build support among decision-makers and the public by:
- Becoming the Canadian E-hub on consumer behaviour and sustainable consumption policy and research;
- Developing tools that consolidate information on the sustainability of products and services in the most credible and user-friendly way possible;
- Fostering direct outreach and partnerships with consumer groups, retailers, businesses, governments, NGOs and other partners; and,
- Coordinating a civil society response to government decision and policy-making on sustainable consumption.
